  1. Either of the two fleshy protrusions around the opening of the mouth.
  2. A part of the body that resembles a lip, such as the edge of a wound or the labia.
  3. The rim of an open container.
  4. an edge that projects slightly, such as the rim of the lid for a pot or jar.
  5. Impertinence. An act of speaking back in a rude way.
