Le Rayon Fantastique was a French imprint published by Hachette and Gallimard and edited by Georges H. Gallet and Stephen Spriel. It was the major genre imprint of the 1950s and 1960s French science fiction, publishing translations of American novels and helping to launch the careers of a number of native authors:


Jean-Claude Forest was the premier cover artist.
