Le Far West is a Franco-Belgian 1973 film directed by Jacques Brel. The film was co-written by Paul Andréota and Brel. As of 2008, the film has the dubious honor of a 4.0/10 rating on IMDb. The story concerns a group of drop-outs who decide to create a new “far west” in a abandoned mine, where, one day, they find gold.

French synopsis

Jacques rencontre Gabriel. Tous deux sont faits pour s'entendre. Ils partent ensemble au Far-West ils prennent sous leur protection une ravissante infirme noire, et chemin faisant, leur petite troupe grossit. Ils arrivent au Far-West. Peu importe qu'il ressemble à une ancienne mine. Ils s'y amusent bien. Mais un jour, ils trouvent l'or. Jacques ne parvient pas à le restituer aux autorités. Cest ainsi qu'il tombe sous les coups de l'armée en un nouveau Fort Alamo.
