Kyle MacLachlan (born February 22, 1959 in Yakima, Washington) is a Golden Globe award winning American actor. He is a graduate of the University of Washington and moved to Hollywood, California, to pursue his career soon after his 1982 graduation. He is best recalled for his role as Jeffrey Beaumont in the cult film Blue Velvet, and his television series roles as Agent Dale Cooper in Twin Peaks and Trey MacDougal in Sex and The City. He currently stars on Desperate Housewives.
