Keith LeBlanc is an American drummer who started out as a session drummer with Sugarhill Records. He formed the Sugarhill house band with Doug Wimbish, Skip McDonald.
The 1983 "No Sell Out" album on Tommy Boy Records (1983) is credited with being the first campled record. He also worked with Tackhead and British dub producer Adrian Sherwood
His album "Major Malfunction" (WR005). The album was a reaction to the 1986 disaster with space shuttle Challenger.
His writing and production have attracted the likes of Living Colour, Peter Gabriel, The Cure, Ministry, and Nine Inch Nails. As a drummer/programmer he has worked with James Brown, Trevor Horn, Seal, R.E.M., The Rolling Stones, Jalal (Last Poets), The Stone Roses, Robert Palmer and Bomb The Bass.
More recent work includes sessions for Annie Lennox, Tina Turner, Brian Ferry, Sunscreem, Babylon Zoo, Sussan Deyhim, Depeche Mode, Sinéad O’Connor and Adrian Sherwood's solo project "Never Trust A Hippy?".
