Justus van Effen (February 21, 1684 in Utrecht – September 18, 1735 in 's-Hertogenbosch) was a Dutch author, who wrote chiefly in French. He imitated The Spectator of Joseph Addison, and translated Swift's "Tale of a Tub" into Dutch and Defoe's "Robinson Crusoe" into French.
