Jay Adams (born February 3, 1961) is one of the original Z-Boys and is considered one of the most influential skateboarders of all time.

He was born in Los Angeles, California. In the mid-1970s, as a teenager he was a member of the original Zephyr skateboard team and of the Zephyr surf team. The Z-Boys originally started to skateboard as practice for surfing. In which so Jay Adams began to truly shine.
