Galerie Jérôme de Noirmont[1] is a French art gallery located in Paris. Currently at the gallery is an exhibition by Bettina Rheims, Just like a woman[2], from May 30 - July 16 2008.
Specialized in contemporary art, the gallery was opened on October 6, 1994 by Jérôme and Emmanuelle de Noirmont.
Its initial purpose was to make art lovers discover internationally recognized artists whose work was completely or partially unknown in France, including David Mach, the German a. r. Penck, the couple McDermott & McGough, and American Jeff Koons who had his first personal show in France in 1997 at the gallery.
The gallery organized three large retrospectives between 1997 and 1999 devoted to Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and finally to Keith Haring with the gallery representing his Estate in France since 1999.
The gallery's interest for the New York art scene led the gallery to exhibit and represent Francesco Clemente, George Condo, Bernar Venet, Anh Duong, Brigitte Nahon, and the Iranian Shirin Neshat.
French artists represented include Pierre et Gilles, Bettina Rheims and Fabrice Hyber. The gallery also supperts Claudine Drai, Benjamin Sabatier and Yi Zhou.
