Innocence is a 2004 French film based on the novella "Mine-Haha or the corporeal education of girls" by Frank Wedekind and stars Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard. The film was both written and directed by Lucile Hadzihalilovic. The plot is based around a mysterious girls boarding school, where new members enter in coffins and the theme deals largely with the innocence of children. The film was well received by critics, winning five awards.
