"Hic Habitat Felicitas"[1] (English: Happiness Resides Here) is a rock carving found in Pompeii outside of a bakery. Finding it outside of a bakery was surprising, because of Pompeii's reputation as a city of brothels, or lupanare as they were called. It was a talisman for good luck, and is on show at the Museo Archeologico Nazionale (Naples), in the erotic collection called by the Bourbons "Gabinetto Segreto".
Giuseppe Fiorelli described it in his catalogue raisonné Raccolta pornografica. of the Museo Nazionale di Napoli, 6, Napoli, 1866, p. 10, n° 73.
