Helmut Newton (1920 – 2004) was a German photographer known for such photos as Catherine Deneuve at Gunpoint, Arielle Portfolio I-X (1982) and Yves Saint Laurent, Vogue France, Rue Aubriot, Paris.
He established a particular style marked by erotic, stylised scenes, often with sado-masochistic and fetishistic subtexts.
