Hadewijch is a French film directed by Bruno Dumont, released 25 November 2009. It won the International Film Critics' award at the 2009 Toronto Film Festival.

Shocked by the ecstatic and blind faith of Sister Hadewijch, a novice, 'a caricature of a religious' , the Mother Superior ( Brigitte Mayeux-Clergot) shows her the exit door of the convent. She becomes Céline again, a young parisienne, the daughter of a diplomat. Her passionate love of God, her anger, and her meeting with Nassir and Yassine lead her, between grace and foolishness, on to dangerous paths.
