The Gormenghast series is a series of books written by Mervyn Peake that is centered around Castle Gormenghast and the character Titus Groan. Since Peake intended the books to be a "biography" of the protagonist, not the castle's history, it would make more sense to name the series after him, and an earlier collected edition was entitled The Titus Books.
