Girl and Death[1][2] or Der Tod und das Mädchen (Der Tod und die Wollust) 1517 is a tempera on wood by Hans Baldung located at the Kunstmuseum Basel, Switzerland. The image was reproduced on the cover of Life Against Death: The Psychoanalytical Meaning of History.
