"Girl I've Got a Date" (1966) is a song by Alton Ellis, one of the first rocksteady songs. Its riddim was the basis for the instrumental "The Liquidator" by the Harry J Allstars, "Wake the Town" by U-Roy and "I'll Take You There" by The Staple Singers.
