"Gaan we nu eindelijk van vrouwelijke kunstenaars houden?" (2020) is an essay by Wieteke van Zeil published in De Volkskrant and De Morgen, later collected in Altijd iets te vinden: De kunst van het oordelen.

Its subject is the underrepresentation of women in the arts and in art history and other "vaginaverwante oordelen" (vagina-related judgments).

The piece mentions Diderot's comments on Terbush; the disparaging comments on Berthe Morisot; Anna Brownell Jameson's comments on Artemisia Gentileschi and Roberto Longhi's 'discovery' of her; the mistrust with which Adélaide Labille-Guiard was greeted; the fact that H. W. Jansons History of Art (1962) mentioned no women.

She mentions forgotten female painters Elisabeth Vigée-Le Brun, Anne Vallayer-Coster, Mary Cassatt, Rachel Ruysch, Mary Beale, Cecilia Beaux.

She mentions that time have changed: that Yayoi Kusama, Louise Bourgeois, Georgia O’Keeffe, Rineke Dijkstra, Marlene Dumas, Kara Walker, Marina Abramović belong to the greats.
