Followers of Bosch[1] refers to paintings in the style of Hieronymus Bosch. The most famous follower of Bosch was Pieter Brueghel the Elder, who was called Peter the Droll by Van Mander. Also, there was a group of Antwerp-based followers of Hieronymus Bosch that included Jan Mandyn, Pieter Huys , and Jan Wellens de Cock. Apart from these, there were many anonymous masters.
The book Comentarios de la pintura (p. 42) is the first to comment on these followers.
