European Trash Cinema was a fanzine edited by Craig Ledbetter dedicated to European genre films and European exploitation cinema. It ran for 16 volumes and 2 special editions. They featured in depth profiles of such European directors as Riccardo Freda and Jess Franco. As a generic/marketing term, European trash cinema has been replaced by Eurocult, or Euro Cult. In academic circles the genre is known as paracinema and has a place in European popular cinema.
