Earth, Wind & Fire is an American R&B band led by Maurice White. Formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 1969, they are known for a number of hit singles, including "Shining Star" and "September", for their fusion of Latin, funk, soul, jazz, pop, rock and other genres into one unique sound and the dynamic sound of their horn section.
