The Doomsday Clock is a symbolic clock face, representing an ominous oscillating countdown, maintained since 1947 by the Science and Security Board of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists at the University of Chicago. The closer they set the Clock to midnight, the closer the Science and Security Board believes the world to be to global disaster.
