Doctor Faustroll (French: Docteur Faustroll) is a fictional character created by Alfred Jarry. Doctor Faustroll was born in Circassia in 1898 at the age of 63 and dead at the same age and the same year. The character debuts in the 1911 novel Exploits and Opinions of Dr. Faustroll, Pataphysician. He is the curator of the Collège de ’Pataphysique.

Wise and well-read, of which his library is a witness, Faustroll, suddenly expulsed from his home by a huissier, begins in 1898, accompanied by his monkey Bosse-de-Nage, a trip « de Paris à Paris par mer », which leads him to his death, near the Grande Nef Mour-de-Zencle. Projected into « eternity », he telepathically communicates numerous rules concerning the weather, the sun, space with Lord Kelvin. Eventually, he calculates the surface de Dieu, and concludes that « La Pataphysique equals science... ».
