Jeffry Lane Flake (born December 31, 1962) is an American politician serving as the senior United States Senator from Arizona, a seat to which he was first elected in 2012. A member of the Republican Party, Flake was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 2001 to 2013.
Flake was one of the bipartisan "Gang of Eight" U.S. senators that pushed an immigration reform bill through the Senate in 2013. He is known as a vocal critic of President Donald Trump, but has generally voted in line with Trump's position. Flake announced on October 24, 2017, that he would not seek re-election in 2018. He became Arizona's senior U.S. Senator on August 25, 2018, upon the death of Sen. John McCain.

Daniel Patrick "Pat" Moynihan (March 16, 1927 – March 26, 2003) was an American politician, sociologist, and diplomat. A member of the Democratic Party, he represented New York in the United States Senate and served as an adviser to Republican U.S. President Richard Nixon.
