The Congo Crisis (Template:Lang-fr) was a period of political upheaval and conflict in the Republic of the Congo (today the Democratic Republic of the Congo){{efn|Not to be confused with the neighbouring state known as the Republic of the Congo, formerly the French Congo, with its capital at Brazzaville. The state's name changed to the Democratic Republic of the Congo in August 1964.
