Chuck Rainey, (born June 17, 1940 Charles Walter Rainey III in Cleveland, Ohio) is a bass guitar session musician known for playing with maybe the greatest amount of well-known American musicians and acts, including Steely Dan, Quincy Jones, Aretha Franklin and The Supremes.
