In Roman mythology, Ceres is the goddess of growing plants (particularly cereals) and of motherly love. Ceres was worshipped in Ancient Roman religion, and is today again worshipped in Religio Romana Neopaganism. Ceres was usually equated with the Greek goddess Demeter.
