Carl Cox (born July 29, 1962 in Oldham, Lancashire, England) is a popular international techno and house DJ. He began as a hardcore and acid house DJ in the mid 1980s, making a name for himself as the "Three Deck Wizard" in 1988, when, during the Second Summer of Love, he began to play on three turntables at once. He has played at such famous clubs as Shelly's, Sterns Nightclub, Heaven, Angels and The Haçienda, as well as huge raves for Fantazia, Dreamscape, Amensia House. He now spearheads two record labels, Intec Records and 23rd Century Records.
