Brown or brown people is a racial and ethnic term. Like black people and white people, it is a metaphor for race based solely on human skin color. In racialist ideas, the color brown and the term brown people were used to describe a series of hypothesized racial groups that included North Africans, West Asians, South Asians, Central Asians, Southeast Asians, Eskimos, Native Americans, and Latin Americans. In Brazil, brown is used to describe for Indo-Brazilian and Arab Brazilians.
