"Serbian propaganda during the Bosnian War portrayed the Bosnian Muslims as violent extremists and Islamic-fundamentalists. Arabic-speaking mercenaries primarily from the Middle East and North Africa, called Mujahideen, came into Bosnia in the second half of 1992 with the aim of helping their Muslim brothers. The Serb media, however, reported a much bigger number of Mujahideen and presented them as terrorists and a huge threat to European security in order to inflame anti-Muslim hatred among Serbs and other Christians. Although Serbian media created much controversy about alleged war crimes committed by them, no indictment was issued by ICTY against any of these foreign volunteers." --Propaganda during the Yugoslav Wars
