"In de zijstraten had je cafés zoals de Il Mundo, de Faam, Het Spiegelbeeld om maar enkele te noemen. Je had (en hebt) ook de Cartoon's, een alternatieve kleine cinema. In de late jaren negentig heeft men daar nog een soort van dansgelegenheid gehad, maar ook dat is tot een roemloos einde gekomen. Op de Suikerrui zelf had je het Swing Café, een café waar je al eens een live-optreden kon meepikken. Laat nu dat net de locatie zijn waar Bar Mondial zijn trip begon en nu eindigt."--Jan Ploem |

Bar Mondial (2008 - 2010) was an Antwerp bar located on the Suikerrui 13.
It is the same location as the Het Swingcafé.
