Arno Holz (26 April 1863 – 24 October 1929) was a German naturalist poet and dramatist.

Holz started his career as a journalist and moved on to become a freelance writer. From 1888 he worked with Johannes Schlaf. In 1898 he published a book of poetry: Phantaesus.
