Antoni Gaudí i Cornet (June 25 1852June 12 1926) – sometimes referred to by the Castilian translation of his name, Antonio Gaudí – was an architect from Catalonia who belonged to the Modernisme (Art Nouveau) movement and was famous for his unique style and highly individualistic organic, curvilinear and eccentric designs. His most important works are the Sagrada Família church, the Casa Milà and Casa Batlló residential buildings as well as the Park Güell and the Colònia Güell.
