An Anthology of Chance Operations (1963) was a book published by Jackson Mac Low and La Monte Young. An Anthology of Chance Operations contained seminal works by Fluxus artists such as Al Hansen, George Brecht and Dick Higgins. It also featured the essay by Henry Flynt which coined the term conceptual art.

Excerpt:

"Concept art" is first of all an art of which the material is "concepts," as the material of for ex. music is sound. Since "concepts" are closely bound up with language, concept art is a kind of art of which the material is language. --Henry Flynt, 1961, incipit to "Concept Art".
