Roepzaal Leys was located on the Kipdorpvest 46 in Antwerp.
Mevrouw Schoonejans (Antwerpen, 1929) verbleef in het Berchemse woon- en zorgcentrum De Veldekens toen ze op 12 januari 2015 een schilderij van Paul Joostens schonk. Ze had het op 22 juni 1988 gekocht op een veiling van roepzaal Leys aan de Kipdorpvest 46 in Antwerpen en er toen 288.050 frank voor betaald. Het werk bevond zich reeds in 2013 in het museum.
