Allegory of the Five Obstinate Monsters is the informal title of a satirical print which in its country of origin, The Netherlands, is actually known as De Warminiaen, one print is in the collection of the Rijksmuseum[1]. A 'Warminiaen' is a follower of Arminus, one who practiced Arminianism.
From the Dutch site Het Geheugen van Nederland:
- Spotprent op de arminianen. De voorstelling toont de vijfkoppige monster genaamd Arminiaen. Dit gedrocht heeft de koppen van giericheyt, Botticheyt, Bedroch, Oproer en Misverstant. Onder zijn voeten vertrapt hij Onnooselheyt en Vrede. De prent is gedrukt van een oudere plaat met een allegorische voorstelling met enkel Latijnse opschriften (FM 1355b).

- 1855 De Warmwiiaerif — Vinnige spotprent op de Arminianen. — Ben a monster op 2 beenen en 2 duiyelspooten , met 5 hoofden: (Fraus — Scditio — Opinio — Stupiditas — Avwritia) en een deksel der boosheid s (Velamen nequiUae) yertreedt een kind InnoeenUas op B||ne bont staat: Warrmmaen, Met yele Lat. en in h. Hollandêah yertaalde insoriptidn; en boyenaan: j^De nieuwsgierige hoop, 't Yeelhoofiiicb j,Wonderdier, Verliest nu al ejn cracht, door Oodes recht besUer." Begts: 1618 exc. Znd. nm. y. gray. Hg. 28^, br. 151 dm. fbL Zeldsoam. h Dezelfde plaat, vroegere druk, zonder inschrift : TTarmMMoeii, sonder de Holl. yertalingen der Lat. insohriften, en yele Holl. yeraen, en zonder jaar. Lat. yersregels: Obfirmatus ubi „studia in contraria mentéis, Error agit monstrum hoo exitiale „parit." — Veel zeldzamer dan de yoorg. — Kan dit ook eene oudere plaat zijn, btj eene andere gelegenheid gemaakt en nu door bijvoegingen als hierboven vermeld, op dit jaar gepast? — Bij Brandt, Beform. II. 985 wordt de plaat: de Warminiaen, als een der vinnigste aangehaald.
