When still a student, Alain Le Bris founded Midi Minuit Fantastique with Michel Caen. Le Bris and Caen wanted to write a book on Terence Fisher, but Losfeld called in the help of Jean Boullet and persuaded Caen and Le Bris to found a magazine which became Midi Minuit Fantastique.
