Abstract art in BelgiumIn België was al in 1910 de toen zestienjarige Joseph Lacasse actief, daarop volgden Michel Seuphor, Georges Van Tongerloo, Victor Servranckx, Jozef Peeters, Gilbert Decock en Gilbert Swimberghe als geometristen en Louis Van Lint, Maurits Wyckaert, Serge Vandercam, Engelbert Van Anderlecht en Jaak Vanderheyden als lyrici. Ook Felix de Boeck had een abstracte periode in zijn schilderscarrière.
