Abolition refers to the fact of putting an end to something by law.
It is the act or state of annulling; abrogation; utter destruction; as, the abolition of slavery or the slave trade; the abolition of laws, decrees, ordinances, customs, taxes, debts, etc.
It may refer to:
- the abolition of slavery
- the abolition of death penalty, also called capital punishment
- the abolition of monarchy
- the abolition of prisons
