"Crude oil" on a beach to "mousse"
"Civilian death" to "collateral damages"
And being killed by your own Army
Is now called "friendly fire"

"Television, the Drug of the Nation" is a musical composition by The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy published on their album Hypocrisy Is the Greatest Luxury.

Written by Michael Franti, it was released as a single in 1992. It had previously been recorded by Michael Franti's first band, The Beatnigs.
