Sasha (Alexander) Frere-Jones (born 1967) is an American music critic based in New York City. He is on the staff of The New Yorker, where he serves as pop music critic. He is a former member of the band Ui. He maintains a blog, S/FJ. In 2008, Frere-Jones was named one of the top 30 critics in the world by Intelligent Life, the lifestyle publication from The Economist.

Sasha's brother, Tobias Frere-Jones, is a prominent type designer, also based in New York.
