Pitigrilli, pseudonym for Dino Segre, (May 9 1893 - 1975) was an Italian writer. He was with Mario Mariano and Guido da Verona one of the auteurs maudits of pre-war Italy.
He was born in Turin. Cocaine (1921) is his most famous novel. The novel was banned when it was published. Most of his novels were controversial due to their liberal use of explicit sex and drugs.
