One swallow does not a summer make is a proverb. It stems from Artistotle's ethics and there it reads "Μία χελιδὼν ἔαρ οὐ ποιεῖ".

It comes from the Aesop's fable "The Young Man and the Swallow".

Latin

Una hirundo non facit ver.

French

Une hirondelle ne fait pas le printemps.

Dutch

Één zwaluw maakt nog geen zomer (variant: Eén zwaluw maakt de lente niet)
