Kinds of media players
Media players can include:
- Media player (software), software that play digital media
- Digital media player, video and audio media player boxes and devices meant to connect to televisions and be controlled with a remote
- Mobile digital media player, portable media player that play digital media, such as MP3 players
Video players
Video players are media players that play media in a video format (generally also including embedded audio). These include:

A movie projector or video projector might also be considered a video "player", although the word is generally reserved for software and devices dedicated to playing digital media.
