Neue Forschungen über den Marquis de Sade und seine Zeit. Mit besonderer Berücksichtigung der Sexualphilosophie de Sade's auf Grund des neuentdeckten Original-Manuskriptes seines Hauptwerkes (1904) is a book on Marquis de Sade written by Iwan Bloch under the pseudonym Eugen Dühren. Bloch had written it after finding the original manuscript of The 120 Days of Sodom.

It is in the first place a source on 18th century French sittengeschichte, rather than a biography, "The Life of The Marquis de Sade " is a merely a total of 28 pages.

The book was translated into English by Solomon Malkin as James Bruce. There is an online version, probably based on Malkin's translation. Google for "The fire of passion is always ignited on the torch of philosophy."
