Irish writer C. S. Lewis (1898 - 1963) @110.

C. S. Lewis is best-known for his fantasy Narnia cycle of stories.

Some observations:

I prefer fantastique over fantasy.

Other Irish writers that deserve to be mentioned on this day are James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, William Butler Yeats, George Bernard Shaw, Samuel Beckett and Seamus Heaney.

Cult authors include Brendan Behan and Flann O'Brien.
