Escaping Criticism[1], (1874, Escapando de la crítica) is a painting by Spanish painter Pere Borrell del Caso. It is a good example of the trompe-l'œil genre. (1874), blurring the boundary between real and fictitious space by having a young man stepping out of the picture frame.
