A culture minister (sometimes cultural minister, minister of culture, minister for culture, or secretary of culture) is a Cabinet position in some governments responsible for protecting the national heritage of a country and promoting cultural expression. This responsibility usually manifests in the accompanying ministry governing the following:
- an official registry of protected historic sites of cultural importance
- maintaining archives of cultural work, including museums and libraries
