Colin Fulcher aka Barney Bubbles (July 1942 - 1983) was an English graphic designer and video director. Born in Tranmere Road, Whitton, Middlesex in July 1942, he lived in the Portobello Road, London in the 1960s, and was closely associated with Hawkwind as an artistic collaborator and album cover designer. He committed suicide in 1983.

Bubbles designed the Norman archer logo for the Strongbow brand of H. P. Bulmer Cider.

Bubbles was also responsible for the graphic art associated with Elvis Costello and the Attractions, Nik Turner's Inner City Unit, Stiff Records and Ian Dury and the Blockheads. He is renowned for his distinctive contribution to the graphic design associated with the British independent music scene during the late 1970s and early 80s. The full scope of his influence is difficult to determine because he refused to sign his work.

He also worked as a video director, directing the video for Ghost Town by The Specials in 1981.

The Conran Group

In May 1965, Barney Bubbles was recruited by The Conran Group as senior graphic designer alongside Stafford Cliff, Virginia Clive-Smith and John Muggeridge. He produced a variety of commercial commissions for Conran, including the Norman-style archer logo for Strongbow cider and items for Conran's new homewares chain Habitat. Fulcher also established an association with Justin de Blank, a director at Conran, which blossomed when de Blank left to launch his own upmarket provisions company and restaurant business in 1968.
