The 27 Club, also occasionally known as the Forever 27 Club, is a popular culture name for a group of influential rock and blues musicians who all died at the age of 27, sometimes under mysterious circumstances.
The list includes
Jean-Michel Basquiat, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, Robert Johnson, Brian Jones and Amy Winehouse.

- Robert Johnson (1938) - cause of death unknown; was most likely poisoned by a jealous girlfriend.
- Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones (1969) - officially, drowned under the influence of alcohol, however recent evidence points to a possible homicide.
- Janis Joplin (1970) - overdosed on heroin.
- Jimi Hendrix (1970) - choked on his own vomit after taking nine sleeping pills.
- Jim Morrison of The Doors (1971) - died of a heart attack, due to copious drug and alcohol consumption.
- Ron "Pigpen" McKernan of The Grateful Dead (1973) - died from a gastrointestinal hemorrhage brought on from heavy drinking.
- Mia Zapata of The Gits (1993) - murdered by Jesus C. Mezquia.
- Kurt Cobain of Nirvana (1994) - officially, committed suicide while under the influence of heroin. Some fans believe it was more plausible that he was murdered.
- Kristen Pfaff of Hole (1994) - officially, overdosed on heroin. Homicide was never investigated.
- Shannon Hoon of Blind Melon (1995) - overdosed on cocaine.
