'"Snow is white" is true if and only if snow is white' is a proposition by Polish philosopher Alfred Tarski. It is related to the deflationary theory of truth.

The proposition was first published in English in Tarski's "The Semantic Conception of Truth: and the Foundations of Semantics", an abridged and updated version of his 1935 long paper "Der Wahrheitsbegriff in den formalisierten Sprache" (English: The concept of truth in formalized languages), itself a translation from his book in Polish of 1933.
